What is minimum and maximum Financial Support that the PAGB could provide to a “financially stressed” Bank?

The extent of the Financial Support offered by the PAGB is dependant upon the Bank’s balance sheet and the due diligence relating to the Bank’s liabilities.

  • The MINIMUM amount would be equivalent to US$ 200 million; and,
  • The MAXIMUM amount, for strategic financial support, could go as high as the equivalent of US$ 100 Billion.

NOTE: No Financial Support will be provided to any Bank to cover any default or losses on derivative trading contracts. All such losses must be for the account of the existing shareholders’ of the Bank.
